Youth Conference 2020 -'The Reverie Rhapsody'

Prof. Gaurav Vallabh, Author and Congress Spokesperson, was the Chief Guest of the event. Prof. Vallabh said that one should not worry about how society reacts; but do what you love doing. Keep things simple and listen to your basic instincts because that is what will lead you to the right direction and will do justice in life. He also urged the students to not be afraid in taking big decisions in life. These decisions will bring them more happiness.

On the occasion, Dr. Pankaj Gupta, President, IIHMR University, said that when you live in pure intention, magic begin to happen in your life. Everyone has a divine light within you. One should love yourself the way you are. Real power lies with the youth who can create a bright future. Your belief in yourself is what you are.

‘Intuitive Wisdom and Transformational Leadership’ talk was delivered by Swami Shantatmananda, a Senior Monk of the Ramakrishna, heads the Delhi Centre of the Ramakrishna Mission Order

A talk on ‘Educate, Enable, Empower’ was delivered by Ms Tenzin Kalsang. Ms. Kalsang is an activist and co-founder of Drokmo, a feminist resource group working on gender issues through access to education, health, safety from violence and livelihoods in the Himalayan belt. This was followed by Joie de Vivre activity by the students. A Tibetan Cultural Dance was performed. Tibetans use dancing to relieve stress, while their youth use it as a way of expressing love.

Earlier, the program began with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. This was followed by a welcome address and introduction of the guests by Ms. Sailaja Devaguptapu, Senior Research Officer, Centre for Mindfulness, Wellness and Ethics (CMWE). It is to be noted that this program was conducted by the CMWE, which runs under IIHMR University.
