Ratna Verma is Social Development Specialist having 15 years’ experience of leading and managing Rural Development Programmes, Research, Training and Capacity Building Programmes primarily in the areas of Gender, Social Inclusion, Livelihood, Women Empowerment & governance, and Child Rights. Her research work on ‘Early Literacy and Language Pedagogy’ with Digantar, Jaipur and Leeds University UK was one of the significant contributions. Ratna possesses thorough experience of work with diverse communities that helped her to understand various policy gaps and issues in development. As an expert, she has contributed to various policy formulation/changes, and right-based programmes of Ministry of Rural Development, GoI, UNDP India, Department of Panchayati Raj and various Civil Society Organizations in India. Her interest and experience in capacity building and training provided her credentials to be a Resource Person and Master Trainer for National Institute of Rural Development, Hyderabad, Rajasthan Police Academy and Rajasthan Institute of Public Administration for designing and facilitating trainings on various development issues. She has been associated with Wageningen University and Research, The Netherlands and The Japan Foundation Asia Centre as a fellow and got trained on Global issues of Food Security, Human Mobility and Diversity.
