MBA (Hospital and Health Management)

Summer Training

Each student is required to work with an organization, on a project, for a period of eight weeks at the end of the first year. The objective is to allow students an intense day-to-day interaction with organizations. Summer Training provides students exposure to the working of an origination in real time. It also helps students to develop managerial skills, competencies and facilitate an informed career choice by the students. Performance of the students during summer training is assessed by way of report from the institution and poster presentation.

Elective Courses

Elective courses are offered depending on current industry needs, student’s requirement and their interests.

Dissertation and Internship

Each student is required to submit a dissertation involving primary research in his/her area of interest. The dissertation includes a critical review of literature of specific area of interest, data collection, and analysis on the selected problem. The dissertation must be completed in the second year to qualify for the degree.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A Graduate from any discipline with 50% or above [45% or above for SC/ST/OBC/ EWS/ PwD] aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Candidates in the final year of the bachelor's degree may also apply. If they would furnish evidence of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria by September'2024

Selection Procedure

The eligible candidates will be invited for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Final selection of the candidate is based on his/her performance in the qualifying examination, score in CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ IIHMR-U MAT, Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) as under:

Candidates are required to bring their original documents at the time of reporting.

Education Loan Assistance

All major banks provide bank loan for this course. Students who wish to apply for the bank loan may formally take admission in the university by paying their first installment. The student may share the bank and branch where he/she wish to apply for an education loan, the admission department will help the aspiring students understand the loan procedure and the required documents as per the bank will be provided upon request.

  • Registration Fee for IIHMR UMAT Examination - Rs. 500 only
  • Student will be allowed to take IIHMR UMAT maximum three times which includes first attempt in addition to two retake attempts. Fee of Rs. 500 will be applicable for each retake of IIHMR UMAT.
  • No Fee is applicable for rescheduling IIHMR UMAT or GD-PI
  • Registration fee for IIHMR UMAT as well as Application fee is not refundable under any circumstances
